Description
We are currently looking for aFull Time Maintenance Mechanic Bto join our Home Maintenance Section Team A Unit 2 team located at the Chickasaw Nation Housing Division Duncan Office.
SummaryMakes repairs to buildings and equipment and performs general maintenance and construction duties at the level of an ordinary skilled mechanic in one or more of the crafts of trades. Is capable of performing the duties in their craft or trade without supervision and has sufficient working knowledge of all maintenance crafts and trades to perform these duties with a minimum of supervision.
Background check will be required before issuance of a pass key. If job warrants, will work overtime and as experience warrants, will be placed on a rotating after hours emergency call schedule. Overtime pay will be one and one-half times the hourly rate.
- Submit all p-card receipts, mileage forms, work orders, and other paperwork to the Central Office on a daily basis.
- Must have the working knowledge to keep machinery and mechanical equipment in good working order.
- Available for emergency service requests and abatements.
- Maintain tenant relations as appropriate.
- Is capable of performing the duties in their craft or trade without supervision and has a sufficient working knowledge of all maintenance crafts and trades to perform these duties with a minimum of supervision.
- Makes repairs to the building and equipment, and performs general maintenance and construction duties at the level of an ordinary skilled mechanic in two or more of the crafts or trades: electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and/or carpentry.
- Performs all other duties as assigned

- Must be capable of performing the duties in craft or trade without supervision and have a sufficient working knowledge of all maintenance crafts and trades to perform these duties with a minimum of supervision

- Perform work required for project structures and equipment

- 2 years directly related experience

- High School, GED or Equivalent

- Pass general background check
- Standard Driver's License

Listening and hearing ability - Visual acuity for detail, distance, color, depth perception
- Sometimes lift and or carry up to 50 lbs
- Moving mechanical parts
