General Summary

Selects merchandise within set quality and engineered standards to service stores in a cost‑effective, safe, and timely manner.

• Signs out store orders and verifies batch numbers with the Sign Out Clerk or through voice picking on headset.
• Selects merchandise by focusing on labels to ensure correct location and accurate order fulfillment.
• Places labels properly on merchandise for correct scanning.
• Achieves engineered or productivity standards on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Communicates shorts, damages, jams, and anticipated shortages to the Sign Out Clerk to facilitate timely delivery to Shipping.
• Handles damaged merchandise according to procedures.
• Completes the daily P.I.T. checklist, reports any equipment defects to management and/or maintenance.
• Operates P.I.T. equipment safely.
• Follows safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety.
• Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment within the Bulk department.
• Adheres to all Company policies and procedures.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education: None

Experience: Four to six months Retail Distribution Center or Warehouse Environment experience preferred.

Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 80 pounds. Adequate fitness level required for frequent lifting, walking, standing, moderate climbing of stairs, occasional sitting, stooping, and kneeling. May be required to operate P.I.T. equipment and use Personal Protective Equipment per Distribution Center requirements.

Work in a non‑climate controlled Distribution or Warehouse atmosphere where weather conditions affect building temperature. May be exposed to restricted spaces, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous materials, motor vehicles, palletized equipment, machinery, power tools, or volatile, flammable chemicals. Work may involve handling, packaging, processing, storing, disposing of or transporting hazardous materials.

Shift work with willingness to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
