General Warehouse

General Summary

Provides production and quality support to the Bulk operation through processing damages, performing bust out and housekeeping duties as assigned in order to maintain a consistent workflow.

• Ensures the work areas are properly supplied for the next shift to minimize downtime.
• Performs housekeeping duties throughout the shift.
• Removes and processes damaged merchandise and returns stray cases to the correct pick slots to assist Order Fillers in maintaining quality standards.
• Breaks down master cases in the FDS pack and loads cardboard in the required time frame.
• Flips cases so that the barcode is showing properly before being scanned to improve sorter efficiency.
• Completes the daily P.I.T. checklist to ensure equipment is working properly and reports any defect to management and/or maintenance.
• Operates P.I.T. equipment safely.
• Follows set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety.
• Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment within the Bulk department.
• Follows all Company policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Physical Requirements:
  
  Able to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds; adequate fitness level to meet frequent lifting, walking, standing, moderate climbing, occasional sitting, stooping and kneeling requirements; may be required to operate P.I.T. equipment; use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per Distribution Center requirements.
• Working Conditions:
  
  Work in a non-climate controlled Distribution or Warehouse atmosphere; potential exposure to restricted space, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous materials, motor vehicle operation, palletized equipment, machinery, power tools, and volatile or combustible chemicals; exposure to electric, gas, water utilities or power generation/distribution.
• Availability:
  Will perform shift work and must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
