Position: Transportation Secretary/Bookkeeper
Qualifications: High School Diploma, associate's degree in business or accounting preferred. Experience in reception, bookkeeping, or administrative support. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism

General
Summary:
The Receptionist/Bookkeeper is responsible for managing the front desk and providing professional customer service while maintaining accurate financial and administrative records. In addition to bookkeeping duties, this position oversees employee timeclock reporting to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Maintains a complete and systematic set of records of all financial transactions of the department
- Records detail of the department's financial transactions in appropriate journals and ledgers.
- Perform duties related to department employees' timeclock, reviewing and correcting entries, and communicating with payroll for transportation personnel.
- Reconciles accounts with bank statements and verifies bank balance with statements.
- Monitor the radio and answer calls as required.
- Manage the transportation department calendar, coordinate meetings, and acquire supplies for office personnel.
- Deliver administrative support to leadership and staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Assumes other reasonable and equitable job-related duties assigned by Director or Assistant Director
Working Conditions:
Office environment with no exposure to environmental conditions. Physical demands are restricted to general office activities requiring movement. Lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds. No travel required. Requires ability to work under a degree of stress related to duties that require constant attention and meeting tight deadlines.
