REEVES | Skilled Laborer; Grade Crew - Columbia, SC

Reeves Construction Company, a Colas USA subsidiary, invites applications for the position of General Laborer located in Columbia, SC. This role emphasizes safety excellence and supports a variety of construction activities across the region.

• Perform physical labor required for road and site construction projects.
• Use shovels, axes, cutting tools, hand compaction devices, and other appropriate equipment for tasks such as shoveling dirt, cutting vegetation, driving stakes, drilling holes, and brooming debris.
• Work safely and follow company policies and procedures at various sites, including asphalt plants, existing roads under traffic, new roads without traffic, building sites, and office or shop facilities.
• Be flexible to engage in a range of labor activities as assigned.

• Must provide personal transportation to and from work.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; not required.
• Valid driving license preferred.
• Ability to perform required physical tasks safely.

Employees are regularly required to use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, walk, and lift or move up to 60 pounds. Vision and hearing requirements include 20/40 vision and good hearing. The job involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather, vibration, wet or humid conditions, and occasional chemicals. Ambient noise is typically very loud.
