The Product Engineer (Projects & NPD – New Product Development) acts as a liaison between R&D, operations, and the quality team. The Product Engineer is responsible for assessing risks of the manufacturing process of newly developed products and taking appropriate actions to ensure quality and an efficient manufacturing process. The Product Engineer (Sustaining Engineering) performs the necessary actions within Product Engineering’s responsibility to support and manage the current product portfolio through its lifecycle.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Product Engineering and is part of the Product Engineering department and will be an on‑site role.

• Actively participate in R&D projects, providing early design input from a manufacturability perspective aligned with Quality and Operations.
• Lead local projects initiated by product engineering or other departments.
• Perform Sustaining activities, defining product changes to support products through their lifecycle, including changes triggered by supplier‑initiated changes, improvements in safety, quality, cost, productivity, or other site metrics.
• Prepare detailed validation protocols for IQ, OQ, PQ, execute them, and write validation reports in close cooperation with quality engineering.
• Initiate change requests and work with a team to perform a robust risk assessment.

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Business Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering) or equivalent.
• Able to write validation (IQ, OQ, and PQ) documents for new products, processes, and equipment.
• Knowledge of process validation procedures and techniques, e.g., Process and product FMEA and process capability studies.
• Competent with Microsoft Office applications and Minitab.

• Experience with SAP.
• Familiarity with Danaher DBS or Lean Manufacturing.
