Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, support, and implement supplier quality programs with the Corporate Materials Department.
  • Evaluate, select, and develop the supply base, assessing new supplier technologies.
  • Formulate and execute internal/external supplier quality control policies and procedures.
  • Impose corporate quality standards on the supply base and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and control cost, timing, and other project aspects related to supplier quality.
  • Act as a technical liaison, coordinating internal and external resources.
  • Provide problem‑solving support to overcome obstacles.
  • Participate in quality planning during the product launch phase.
  • Lead supplier development projects, championing continuous improvement.
  • Research and recommend implementation of new or existing quality assurance processes.
  • Support suppliers in the Production Part Approval Process.
  • Engage in comparative analysis to select optimal techniques.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; may supervise staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent) with an understanding of quality engineering practices.
  • Minimum three years of experience in quality engineering or project/program management (or equivalent).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of quality engineering principles and familiarity with technologies, products, suppliers, and programs.
  • Strong organizational, project‑management, and leadership skills; able to prioritize and manage conflicting needs.
  • Ability to work independently with clear, effective written and verbal communication.
  • Capability to operate standard and specialized equipment required for the role.
  • Strong computer skills to calculate, analyze data, and generate reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and recommend new suppliers, products, and processes.
  • Initiate continuous‑improvement processes.
  • Willingness to travel within North America up to 50% of the time.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods.
  • Maintain proper vision requirements.
  • Maintain alertness to surroundings.
