Overview
The Quality Engineer ensures quality assurance for products received and shipped, services provided to clients, supports business and customer needs, and complies with government regulations, industry, and OpCo standards. This role reports to the Quality Team Manager and is an on‑site position in Duncan, SC.
What You’ll Do- Support transfer from NPI to high volume manufacturing and develop quality control plans.
- Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Process flow charts, Process Control Plans, Process FMEA, and Validations.
- Manage Non‑conformance, CAPA and Complaint processes; conduct root cause analysis, implement action plans and verify CAPA effectiveness.
- Provide Manufacturing Quality Trend Charts/Analysis and suggest continuous improvement practices, including kaizen events and Lean manufacturing principles; roll out CDT&R, VOP, DRS, PSP, FMEA‑utilize DBS to drive improvements.
- Support Supplier Quality Engineer in improving supplier issues (SCARs) and work with Purchasing/Sourcing to select/maintain/drop suppliers based on performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (Biomedical, Chemical, Pharma, Industrial, Mechanical, Systems, Quality, Reliability) or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or a related environment.
- Understands and applies Lean Six Sigma tools for problem solving, risk assessment, and process control.
- Ability to travel 5‑15% (domestic and international).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).
- Experience with Veeva, SAP, or Magic (Enovia).
- Product line transfers and new product introduction.
- Customer‑facing technical writing and conflict resolution.
