Operations Manager
Operations Project Manager responsible for implementing the policies for Design for Excellence, Industrialization, Engineering, and Project Management. The role leverages technical expertise to oversee the safe launch of new products and engineering changes, ensuring successful and timely execution from impact analysis to first article inspection (FAI).
Responsibilities- Represent operations in the Project Management Gate review process and coordinate the delivery of all mandatory activities for each product.
- Coordinate manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, operations managers, process experts, and the indirect sourcing department for industrialization.
- Lead the OPS project team to successfully complete assigned tasks within schedule, allocated budgets, and scope to the required quality.
- Build a Project Master Plan for Operations, validate it, and follow up on the planning and work breakdown structure for each function allocated to the project.
- Oversee the New Product Safe Launch from impact analysis to successful FAI.
- Create CAPEX projects to industrialize the manufacturing process.
- Bachelor’s degree, with five (5) years of Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in the passenger rail industry is preferred.
- New product introduction experience is a plus.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Excellent communicator with strong written and organizational skills.
- Capable of motivating, influencing, and building a successful team that manages multiple projects and meets deadlines.
- Identify potential manufacturing processes, including fixtures and tooling, based on the product design.
- Solid knowledge of financial controlling tools, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with ERP systems.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels and with customer representatives at various levels.

Physical DemandsEmployee is regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to sit, occasionally required to stand, walk and handle items in an office environment.
Work EnvironmentMix of office and shop‑floor environments, with up to approximately 10% travel to sister companies, vendor installations, customers, or benchmarking companies. May involve occasional exposure to cold and hot temperatures, humidity, dust, vapors, fumes, vibration, and other loud noises from rolling stock assembly and maintenance areas and sub‑supplier plants.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary rate for this role is currently $68,900–98,200. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Benefits include health, welfare, and retirement, and may also include annual bonus if eligible.
