The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. • Initial point of contact for all new IT services related to IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems reported by users through email, phone, face-to-face, and the Matrix
  42 helpdesk system.
• Administer desktop computers, printers, VOIP phones, software, and miscellaneous hardware.
• Create quotes based on individual user needs to meet company goals; order and receive hardware/software.
• Maintain and ensure network integrity through WAN/LAN systems; troubleshoot to help Network team isolate and solve issues.
• Setup and maintain IP addresses; manage Active Directory and Active Roles for users and devices.
• Maintain network facilities on individual machines, including drivers and settings for PCs and printers.
• Build and upgrade desktop computers and laptops, install software, configure network and drivers.
• Configure printer networks, install printers on computers, and maintain printer hardware.
• Set up new users and reassignments; maintain and troubleshoot cellphones and email configurations.
• Monitor and configure IP cameras on the network; deploy new devices and manage network closets and production floor cabling.
• Support plant MES systems, software licensing, installation and configuration for all systems.
• Understand and follow Magna policies, procedures, work instructions and standards and make recommendations for continuous improvements.

Demonstrated basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and other current techniques related to manufacturing. Demonstrated strong communication skills to interact with other functional areas both internally and externally for successful project completion. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to influence decisions that affect assigned projects. Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and develop appropriate solutions in order to assist in troubleshooting problems.

• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time.
• Must maintain proper vision requirements.
• Must be able to maintain alertness to their surroundings.
• Must have a current and valid Driver’s License.
