Tooling Technician

Overview

Tooling Technician role at Röchling Industrial in Duncan, SC. Second shift: 3pm-11pm and weekends when needed.

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance procedures on all tooling.
• Design, maintain or repair various fixtures and jigs as job requires.
• Perform welding and fabrication work as necessary.
• Enter remote work order requests into the system. Shift Log.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
• Plan and follow through all mold repairs.
• Maintain mold, secondary equipment, and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Become familiar with ISO 14001 and TS16949.
• Knowledge of costing, controlling assets and maintaining within budget restraints.
• Special projects as deem necessary.
• Assist Tooling Supervisor and Tooling Manager as necessary.

• Able to perform in production environment, learn to operate heavy equipment, operate forklift, work around and operate cranes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

• Machine shop experience
• Mold changes
• Experience with mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses for mild repair
• Knowledge of welding

• High School Diploma Or GED
