Position: Foundation Brake Assembly Technician I

You will be responsible for assembling and disassembling assembly parts, and use tools and equipment needed to perform the operations in an industrial setting. You will be a team player with strong listening and communication skills.

What do we want to know about you?
  • Available to work 2nd shift hours: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM.
  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • 1+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment needed for assembly operations.
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Team player ability.
What will your typical day look like?
  • Assist in daily 5S and cleaning procedures.
  • Assist others in finding solutions to quality and production issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assemble, test, and inspect according to engineering drawings and test codes.
  • Work with electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble equipment that does not pass the test.
  • Maintain assembly and test equipment as required.
  • Move material to and from the workstation by hand, cart, and crane.
  • Adhere to all safety rules, procedures, and maintain good housekeeping.
Physical Demands

The job requires frequent standing, walking, talking, and using hands to operate tools or controls. Requires lifting or moving up to 30 pounds. Must meet vision requirements including close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Environment

The work is done in an indoor manufacturing environment with exposure to production machinery, assembly operations, overhead crane usage, and forklift traffic. Use of personal protective equipment is required.

Mental Demands

Requires written and oral communication skills; reading, interpreting data, documents, and solving problems; use of math and reasoning; learning new information, and interacting with employees, customers, and vendors.

  • Hourly rate between $18.50+ an hour.
