Job Responsibilities:

Provide areas with specified product while maintaining proper paperwork for the materials. This includes informing supervisors of product concerns and being timely with assembly needs. Ensure a safe environment while operating machinery and abide by 5S standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow work order/oral instructions of Materials Department as they pertain to the scope of the assigned job. Using scanner, scan rack labels on lines in assigned zone to maintain the min and max inventory levels. Pull empty totes from lines to keep racks flowing. Break down cardboard and empty trash cans for the line, as needed. Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.

Maintain 5S and housekeeping practices. Follow all safety rules including but not limited to: wearing cut resistant gloves and sleeves when using a cutting tool, wearing safety glasses when on the shop floor and maintaining clear aisles and walkways. Report all incidences to your supervisor immediately. Understand your responsibility for health and safety in the workplace. Cooperate with OSHA inspectors.

Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. Follow all safety rules. Report unsafe conditions immediately. Report injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses, property damage immediately. Will not remove or make ineffective any protective device such as a guard, light curtain, etc. Will not use or operate any machine or equipment that the employee is not trained to operate. Will not use or operate any machine or equipment in a manner that may endanger any employee including themselves.

Understand your responsibility for health and safety in the workplace. Provide an employee with written instructions of the measures and procedures required to protect the employee. Advise the employee of the existence of any potential or actual danger to the health or safety of the employee of which the supervisor is aware. Understand your responsibility for visitors and general public health and safety in the workplace.

Cooperate with OSHA inspectors. Do not allow discrimination against employees who properly exercise their right under OSHA. Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to set a good example. Ensure that employees wear the appropriate protective devices. Know the safety rules at Magna Mirrors – South Carolina. Understand the importance of conformance with all environmental procedures of the environmental management system, including emergency response.

Understand the EMS consequences, actual or potential, of their work activities and/or their behaviors from specified work instructions.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to load and unload boxes and totes during entire shift.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 35 lbs. during entire shift.
• Must be able to bend and stoop repeatedly during entire shift.
• Must be able to stand, step-on and off of tugger, and walk during entire shift.
