SUMMARY:
The Welding Cell Inspector checks the parts for conformance to customer standards. When defects are found, they are dispositioned by the guidelines defined in the work instructions. Conforming product is packed and labeled as specified by the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Check parts for conformance to customer standards using gauge, and full visual inspection of welds, parts, placement etc. in accordance with quality standards.
Rack/box and labeling of frames in designated packaging
Enter all audit and inspection data Communicate quality issues to Production Supervisor and line lead in a timely manner.
Identify nonconforming material.
Approve material for shipment.
Stage boxes and roll packs in designated locations
Push product to designated area for pickup
Fill out daily inspection sheets
Understand and maintain audit compliance as it relates to the welding cell function. This would include: IATF, ISO, and TISAX (information security).Follow all safety protocols and guidelines established by the company. Encourage safe practices and a safety-first mindset among coworkers.
Performs other duties as needed and assigned

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Above average leadership and communication skills.
Approve parts in a timely manner and keep floor caught up.
Knowledge of all the quality standards for all of the parts.
Make fast decisions in a rapid automotive environment
Self-motivated
Positive attitude
Proficient working knowledge of all equipment and processes in designated area.
Troubleshooting skills.
EDUCATION AND/OR
EXPERIENCE:
Employee must have working knowledge of manufacturing environment. The individual will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing activities with regard to continuous improvement. Must be self-motivated and possess well developed leadership skills.
High School Diploma/GEDLANGUAGE
SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic instructions and required documents. Has the ability to respond and communicate complicated instruction and basic directions.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions/general production information written and communicated in EnglishMATHEMATICAL
SKILLS:
Ability to comprehend and apply principles of basic mathematics.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Must be able to bend over racks and check parts.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Normal amount of sitting and standing, above average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct normal amount of work on a computer.
Works with Employees, Supervisor, Line Leads, Process and Maintenance Technicians.
Works as a team with fellow employees.
