Wabtec Now Hiring Assembly Technician (Direct Hire)

Duncan, SC

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Schedules Available:
  • 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Wabtec is hiring Assembly Technicians to join our manufacturing team in Duncan, SC. If you have assembly experience, enjoy working with tools, and thrive in a team-oriented environment, this is a great opportunity to build a long-term career with an industry leader.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience using hand tools, assembly equipment, and related industrial tools
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
  • Assemble and disassemble mechanical and electrical components
  • Assemble, test, and inspect products according to engineering drawings and test procedures
  • Work with electrical and mechanical equipment during assembly operations
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble equipment that does not pass testing
  • Operate and maintain assembly and testing equipment
  • Move materials and components using carts, cranes, and manual handling methods
  • Assist with daily 5S and workplace organization activities
  • Support efforts to resolve quality and production concerns
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Physical Capabilities
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Lift, carry, and position materials and components as needed
  • Use hand tools and assembly equipment throughout the workday
  • Bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive assembly tasks
  • Work safely around manufacturing equipment and overhead cranes
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
