Objective of job:
Optimization of productivity and quality for production processes installed in the plant. Principal activities include increasing efficiency and reducing cycle times of production process within area of responsibility by optimizing process parameters or equipment. Eliminate manufacturing waste through process optimization. (time, scrap, effort, etc.) Maintain machine and process capability for production processes within area of responsibility Assist production and maintenance in isolating complex manufacturing issues within area of responsibility, material, or machine functionality related Maintain and update production documentation (Process Data Sheets, Work Instructions, P-FMEA, Re-Release Sheets, etc.)
as required by IATF 16949 within area of responsibility Establish reference and boundary samples in cooperation with Product Development, Process Development and Quality for production processes within area of responsibility Support Equipment Planner in defining process-specific input (acceptance criteria, quality requirement, etc.) for Requirement Manuals for new production equipment Review engineering change requests (ECR) and give feedback for implementation cost Investigate new technologies to enable Draexlmaier to stay competitive in Automotive Manufacturing Define and manage various plant level improvement projects related to the area of responsibility Other duties as assigned by management to ensure optimal plant performance Some travel is required
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. 1 to 2 years of knowledge with JIT Principles. 1 to 2 years of Automated Manufacturing, Plastic Processing, Continuous Improvement experience. 2 years of Analytical Troubleshooting is desired. Experienced with 2D and 3D Modeling Software, Industrial Automation and Controls. Good technical knowledge with Lean Manufacturing.
