The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new business opportunities. This individual will assist in marketing activity, market research, lead generation, proposal development, and relationship management to drive the company's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Marketing Activity: Lead activity for trade shows, social media, and other corporate promotion methods.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscapes. Analyze data to assess market opportunities and develop actionable insights.
- Lead Generation: Assist in generating leads through various channels including online research, networking events, and industry publications. Qualify leads based on predefined criteria and maintain accurate records of prospect information.
- Proposal Development: Support the sales team by preparing proposals and presentations for potential clients. Ensure all documents are well‑written, visually appealing, and tailored to the specific needs of each prospect.
- Relationship Management: Coordinate meetings, follow‑ups, and communications to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, organizing travel arrangements, and maintaining databases.
- Team
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including global offices, Engineering and Product Development to align business development efforts with overall company objectives. Contribute ideas and insights to enhance team performance and achieve collective goals.
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field is preferred but not a MUST.
- Proven entry‑level experience in a similar role (1 to 3 years), preferably in a business development or sales environment nice to have but not a MUST.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and present data effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. Focus areas are WORD, EXCEL, and POWERPOINT.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
