Recruiting Solutions is seeking a skilled Industrial Electromechanic to join our client’s Maintenance Team in Duncan, SC. This role is responsible for ensuring plant equipment and facility systems operate efficiently and reliably. The position is approximately 70% electrical and 30% mechanical
, with a strong emphasis on industrial electrical troubleshooting.
This is a direct hire opportunity on night shift from 4:00pm-2:00am Monday-Thursday. Enjoy a 3-day weekend!
This is a hands-on role requiring preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and rapid response to equipment issues. Candidates must demonstrate electrical troubleshooting proficiency during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities- Perform reactive and planned preventive maintenance on plant equipment and facility systems
- Diagnose root causes of mechanical and electrical failures
- Dismantle equipment to repair or replace defective components
- Test and troubleshoot electrical circuits, PLCs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Lay out, wire, build, and troubleshoot electrical panels in accordance with NFPA/NEC standards
- Repair and recondition machine tools and production equipment
- Perform basic welding tasks as needed
- Order and manage necessary parts, supplies, and vendor services
- Maintain building exterior, grounds, and assist with basic HVAC repairs
- Support production technicians and assist small teams as needed
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Be available for occasional on-call or off-hours support
- CNC maintenance background
- PLC ladder logic troubleshooting and programming
- Experience with analog electronics
- Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills (with or without schematics)
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical components
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to perform basic failure analysis and structured problem solving
- Comfortable working in environments with limited standardization
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Basic math skills (fractions, ratios, percentages)
- Ability to interpret written, oral, and diagram-based instructions
- Ability to operate a computer or keyboard-based systems
- Experience working with PLC diagrams and electrical documentation
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s Degree in a technical field preferred
- 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience required
- Demonstrated proficiency in industrial electrical troubleshooting
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required
- Exposure to industrial noise levels
- Frequent bending, twisting, and working in confined or awkward positions
- Ability to push/pull equipment and components
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
