LaSalle Network is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization to hire a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead large-scale engineering projects focused on automation, electrical controls, and production equipment. This role will be responsible for designing and troubleshooting complex control systems, overseeing equipment installations and debugging, developing PLC and HMI solutions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is a senior-level electrical engineer with strong controls experience who can independently manage complex projects, collaborate across engineering and production teams, and mentor other engineers.

  • Manage and prioritize large, complex, and long-duration engineering projects and programs
  • Lead project work with engineers, technicians, designers, and drafters
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and implement electrical engineering solutions for machine and process controls
  • Design and modify automated production equipment, electrical hardware schematics, PLC ladder logic, HMI systems, and controls software
  • Oversee equipment installation, debugging, testing, and implementation
  • Develop engineering concepts into practical solutions that improve manufacturing operations
  • Collaborate with production and cross-functional teams to gather information and improve equipment, processes, and products
  • Create test parameters and participate in testing and implementation of engineering solutions
  • Develop continuous improvement plans focused on efficiency, quality, safety, and service
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, designs, and engineering requirements
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers
  • Apply 5S and other continuous improvement methodologies to support manufacturing efficiency
What's needed?
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field with 6+ years of related engineering experience, or an Associate's degree with 12+ years of related engineering experience
  • Strong experience designing, developing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex control systems
  • Advanced PLC ladder logic, HMI, and controls software experience
  • Experience with automated production equipment and machine controls
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, production processes, quality control, and manufacturing operations
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering design techniques, blueprints, schematics, drawings, and technical plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects, deadlines, and priorities with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and other departments
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
