Job Description

Working within the Group Legal Department and under the supervision of the legal counsels in charge of contracts, regulatory structuring and legal operations, the apprentice will contribute to the day-to-day legal follow-up of IT, outsourcing, digital services and technology-related arrangements. The role is intended to provide practical exposure to contractual legal work in an international corporate environment, while supporting the team on regulatory compliance monitoring, including requirements relating to DORA and foreign equivalent regulatory guidances where relevant, outsourcing and ICT third-party risk management frameworks, as well as the deployment and continuous improvement of legal digital tools.

Responsibilities

He/She reports to the legal counsel responsible for IT contracts and legal operations. At Group level, and in coordination with the relevant Legal, Procurement, IT, Operations Governance, Risk and Compliance teams, he/she will in particular:

  • Support the review, follow-up and lifecycle management of IT, outsourcing, software, SaaS, cloud, digital services, consultancy and other technology related contracts;
  • Assist in monitoring relationships with external IT service providers, including contractual obligations, renewal dates, deliverables, documentation, governance meetings and escalation points;
  • Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of contract trackers, templates, clauses libraries,
  • Support the regulatory tracking of applicable requirements relating to IT contracts and ICT third-party service providers incl. outsourcing requirements, data protection, information security and internal policies;
  • Assist with the collection, review and organisation of contractual and regulatory evidence required for audits, controls, due diligence, risk assessments, regulatory notifications or internal governance processes;
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of digital tools used by the Group Legal Department, including contract management, legal knowledge management, matter tracking, reporting and workflow tools;
  • Perform legal research and benchmarking on IT contracts, digital services, outsourcing, ICT risk, data protection, AI and regulatory developments relevant to the Group Legal Department;
  • Support the preparation of internal guidance, training materials and communications on IT contracts and related regulatory requirements.
Qualifications

Required experience & competencies The role is intended for a student in work-study programme and does not require prior in-house legal experience. Previous internship or academic exposure to contract law, IT law, digital law, data protection, financial regulation, insurance or compliance would be appreciated.

Expected skills and competencies:

  • Good knowledge of contract law and strong interest in IT, digital services, outsourcing and technology-related legal matters;
  • Interest in regulatory compliance topics, in particular DORA, operational resilience, outsourcing, ICT third-party risk, data protection and information security;
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify, summarise and track legal and regulatory requirements in a structured manner;
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate trackers, records and documentation;
  • Comfortable working with digital tools and strong appetite for legal tech, process improvement, data quality and automation initiatives;
  • Good drafting skills and ability to prepare clear notes, summaries, presentations and internal guidance materials;
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with legal and non-legal stakeholders in an international environment;
  • Curious, rigorous, proactive, discreet and able to handle confidential information appropriately;
  • Good command of Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with contract management tools, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate or other digital/legal tech tools would be a plus.

Required Education

  • Student enrolled in a Master 1 or Master 2 programme in business law, contract law, IT/IP law, digital law, data protection law, compliance or a comparable programme.
