ELM Utility Services, with over 1700 employees nationwide, invites applications for a Standby Monitor Technician based in Duncanville, Texas. The primary responsibility is monitoring excavation activities near high-support gas facilities and ensuring safe and approved practices are used. The starting wage is $25.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience, and includes verifying previous locate marks made by other ELM Locate Technicians and preventing damage through education and patrolling.

• Verify previous marking for high‑profile underground gas utilities.
• Complete all necessary paperwork.
• Maintain daily contact with utility managers, crews, homeowners, and contractors to discuss locate issues.
• Receive daily jobs via computer/device.
• Prioritize daily work by reviewing locate requests to determine routing.
• Read and understand utility‑provided maps to identify underground utilities.
• Ensure clients and contractors suffer no damages or injuries due to mis‑located utilities.
• Monitor active excavations near high‑profile gas facilities and ensure safe practices are used.
• Inspect exposed gas facilities for damage.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 90 days of proven gas‑locating experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good motor‑vehicle record.
