Position:
Alarm & Detection Technician / Service (FAL) Position Summary

This role is responsible for delivering reliable, high-quality customer support through inspection, repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance of fire alarm and detection systems.

Compensation

Estimated annual salary ranges from $52,000 to $75,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test and verify system performance following all repairs and maintenance work
  • Adhere strictly to company safety policies, always ensuring personal safety and the safety of others
  • Maintain daily communication with the Alarm Service Manager regarding job status, service requirements, and inspections
  • Train and mentor apprentices on company procedures, inspection protocols, and installation practices
  • Complete all work in accordance with NFPA codes and company quality standards
  • Collaborate with the Alarm Service Manager and administrative staff to ensure accurate and complete project closeout for billing
  • Some travel and overtime may be required
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes (preferred)
  • Gamewell certification (preferred)
  • NICET Level I certification required within 12 months
  • NICET Level II certification required within 2 years after achieving Level I
  • Texas Fire Extinguisher License (Class B or higher) is a plus
  • Relevant service trade experience is a plus
  • Must pass a post-offer drug screen, background check, and reference check
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Frequent bending, reaching, climbing, and walking
