Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant

Location: Sparrows Point, Maryland

A large multi-modal industrial tract on the eastern seaboard is seeking a Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager (title based on experience) to join its Corporate Accounting team at its headquarters in Sparrows Point, MD, reporting to the Corporate Controller.

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, monthly closings, and financial reporting using Yardi Voyager, Excel/SQL, and Oracle Net Suite, with a focus on marine operations.

Collaborate with CFO and senior leadership on data analysis for profitability, budget preparation, financial statements, and forecasting, while ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial policies.

Act as primary liaison with external auditors, tax accountants, and insurance agencies, and continuously seek process improvements and electronic efficiencies in accounting.

• 4+ years of experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of Excel/SQL, project accounting, and revenue recognition rules.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with a focus on integrity and teamwork.

• Experience with Yardi Voyager or Oracle Net Suite accounting systems.
• Background in commercial real estate accounting.
