Whitman Advisory is partnering with a high-growth, family-owned CPA firm in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a Tax Director or Tax Senior Manager to join its growing tax practice.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being a true tax generalist and wants to work with a wide range of privately held businesses and high-net-worth clients. The firm is looking for someone who can be client-facing, solve complex tax issues, and serve as a go-to resource for both clients and the internal team.
What they’re looking for:- Strong public accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Experience with privately held businesses and HNW individuals
- Strong federal, state, and local tax knowledge
- Exposure to international tax is a plus
- Experience with multi-state issues, PFICs, CFCs, and M-1/M-3 adjustments
- Ability to manage complex tax work and connect business tax planning with individual tax needs
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with clients
The firm works with a diverse client base, including government contractors, healthcare/medical practices, real estate, professional services, high-net-worth individuals, and privately held businesses ranging from small companies to large multinational organizations.
This is a fast-paced, high-quality firm with strong client service expectations, but they also value flexibility, thoughtful growth, and supporting their team.
The role is primarily in-office in Gaithersburg, MD
