Natureof Work
The Administrative Assistant II will provide support with the purchasing, receiving, and inventory management functions of the Police Quartermaster Unit. This position will also maintain and track databases for police‑issued equipment, oversee inventory records, and help manage tagged equipment and furniture across the MDTA Police. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage the acquisition, tracking, and documentation of capital assets and sensitive equipment to ensure accountability and compliance with agency policies;
- Coordinate the disposal of excess agency property, maintaining accurate records throughout the asset lifecycle;
- Maintain and update the Capital and Sensitive Equipment Management Database, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of asset information;
- Maintain and update personnel records and databases, supporting workforce management, record retention, and organizational efficiency; and
- Maintain and manage ordinance records, databases, and related files, ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and timely information retrieval.
Employees in this position will report directly to the Office Supervisor. The current vacancy is located in Baltimore, MD. Hybrid telework schedules may be available for this position. The established list from this recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies at other MDTA facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in secretarial or clerical work involving typing or stenographic duties.
