• high school diploma / general education development (ged) and 2 years of specialized formal vocational training or an associate of applied science (aas) degree in drafting and design technology, computer-aided drafting and design (cadd), engineering cad technology, or an aas degree in a related drafting discipline
  • in addition to education requirements, at least one year of hands‑on experience
• demonstrated experience with one or more of the following software applications:
  • ptc creo
  • autocad
  • solidworks
• demonstrated experience identifying, analyzing, and generating specifications for the development of technical documentation and engineering drawings tailored to the requirements of a task
• demonstrated experience interpreting engineering data gathered from field inspections, on‑site inspections, site surveys, engineering notes, sketches, blueprints, and photographs in order to create required technical documentation packages
• demonstrated experience using electronic schematics to obtain information as to maximum size, and from manuals giving dimensions of standard parts, determining the arrangement and preparing drawing of printed circuit boards
• ensures that all drawings and documents are in proper format, comply with company and industrial standards and specifications, and meet the quality, cost, and productivity objectives of the company and the customer
