For every child, the right to a Voice
How can you make a difference?UNICEF Moldova, with the financial support of the European Union, supports the Ministry of Education and Research (MER) in implementing a comprehensive set of activities aimed at overcoming some of these challenges and achieve the goals of the DS. These activities are part of the Programme Advancing Quality Education and Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All and will contribute to human capital development in the Republic of Moldova, improving quality and relevance of education and lifelong learning opportunities, for better matching the labour market demands.
In this context, digital communication and social media have become powerful tools to reach multiple audiences and engage stakeholders to inform but also convey the urgency of putting children (and their issues) as a priority. In an era of greater transparency and authenticity, social media and online communication are rapidly delivering a new standard of interaction between people, advocating for child rights, and changing behaviours.
Under the supervision of the Communication Specialist, NO-C, the Communication Officer, NO-A is expected to support the UNICEF Education programme team in communication efforts related to the EU Advancing Quality Education and Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All Programme, as well as support in ensuring visibility of UNICEF Moldova interventions.
The Communication Officer will provide support in ensuring visibility of UNICEF Moldova interventions within the EU Advancing Quality Education and Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All Programme, namely:
- Promote the reconceptualization of the teachers'' and school leaders'' professional development system and ensure support for the newly created National Institute of Education and Leadership;
- Promote life-long learning opportunities and continuous professional development;
Increase awareness on the need to ensure inclusivity of education and offer qualitative education services for children with disabilities and special education needs; - Promote digital pedagogy and STEEAM skills;
- Ensure visibility of modernization efforts (including accessibility) in 10 model schools.
All visibility and communication content, including printed materials, posters, banners etc. will be coordinated closely with the EU and will be aligned with the EU communication and visibility guidelines for the use of its emblem.
KEY END-RESULTS- Communication products:
The communication products and materials are timely executed and followed up to support the communication strategy of the EU Advancing Quality Education and Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All Programme. - Media relations:
Effective and timely professional assistance and support are provided in developing, drafting, and maintaining contact information, materials and relationships with journalists and media outlets covering all media - print, TV, radio, web etc.
- in the country. - Monitoring and evaluation:
Regular monitoring and evaluation activities are undertaken according to the work plan to ensure maximum impact and continuous improvement of country communication efforts. Results and reports are prepared and shared on a timely basis. - Special events:
Strategic planning and execution of special events are conducted to enhance visibility, engagement, and stakeholder participation in the EU Advancing Quality Education and Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All Programme.

Bachelor''s degree in communications , Journalism, Public Relations or related field is required. - Work Experience
:
One-year practical professional work experience in communication, print and broadcast media, or interactive digital media is required. Field work experience and familiarity or background with Emergency situations is required. - Skills
