Communications Engineer
As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. This role focuses on designing and integrating Proliferated Low Earth Orbit (PLEO) and communication systems, managing the acquisition Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process in support of PLEO Comms systems.
At Booz Allen, you will transform Mission Systems requirements to improve PLEO Comms performance across a variety of platforms, work with OEMs to integrate advanced technologies, and help design and develop future technologies within the PLEO Comms discipline.
Responsibilities- Manage the acquisition Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process for PLEO Comms systems.
- Transform Mission Systems requirements into design solutions that enhance PLEO Comms performance.
- Collaborate with OEMs and internal teams to develop and integrate upgrades that improve warfighter capabilities.
- Augment designs and algorithms to optimize system performance.
- Provide technical inputs to improve analysis of PLEO Comms designs for performance and integration ease.
- Experience in radar systems.
- Knowledge of systems integration challenges.
- Ability to work with a team of engineers to modify designs and improve system integrations.
- Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.
- Experience with modern Navy PLEO Comms systems.
- Experience with the SETR process.
- Knowledge of contracting mechanisms and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reporting.
- Ability to analyze PLEO Comms designs and provide technical inputs to improve performance and integration ease.
- Top Secret clearance.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance is required.
Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: $61,900.00 to $ (annualized USD). Compensation is determined by various factors including location, education, experience, and contract specifics.
