The company is looking for a bright, high potential individual to join their team as an Investment Associate/Senior Associate. For the past 20 years, the company has focused on value creation across all asset classes, including office, multi-family, retail, hotel, and land held for development.
The company has completed over $4.7B of transactions in the DC area, achieving exceptional returns. The portfolio is currently over 3.5M square feet and will rapidly grow to over 5M square feet upon the upcoming completion of a major mixed-use development project. Position:
In this newly created position, this person will work on strategic investment analysis for new and existing deals. The candidate will support the investments function in preparing Investment Committee materials and other necessary documents. Review and analyze historical operational asset-specific data (proforma analysis and budget analysis) and create/update pro forma cash flows. The successful candidate must be loyal, have strong character, be creative, intellectually curious and have a strong work ethic.
It is essential that the candidate have the willingness to roll up their sleeves and get into the details of the task s person will have strong interaction with and visibility to members of Finance, Acquisitions, Development, Asset Management, and Property Management. Qualifications:
· 2-4 years of relevant real estate, investment banking, or private equity experience required. Prior commercial office, multifamily, or retail experience strongly preferred
· Excellent working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling required, experience with ARGUS (AE) strongly preferred.
· Strong analytical skills and solid financial aptitude. Accuracy and attention to detail is critical.
· Strong entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to manage multiple transactions. Enjoy working in a fast-paced, informal, fluid environment with changing priorities.
· Ability to work with minimal supervision while allocating time between multiple tasks/deadlines/opportunities.
Compensation:
A competitive package with an annual cash compensation package, including base and bonus.
