System Administrator – Mid​/Senior

• Install applications and administer systems and processes
• Identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Optimize server and desktop configurations for continuous, efficient operation
• Perform security management and application performance optimization
• Administer and sustain a web-based application for storing, sharing, and distributing information
• Create and maintain complex server enclaves
• Analyze system scanning reports, patch systems, renew certificates, manage vulnerabilities, and configure Active Directory
• Identify and correct hardware and software issues
• Respond to system administration, operations, and maintenance problems and develop re-work solutions
• Create and maintain accurate documentation of complex server and network environments
• Communicate with users and external support personnel regarding system outages and upgrades
• Confer with upper management regarding recommended resolution options
• Support day-to-day operations and longer-term system improvements in a mission-critical, geographically distributed network environment

• Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical field and at least 8 years of relevant experience; additional experience may be substituted for a degree
• Experience as a systems administrator providing direct support to end users and technical staff
• Proficiency with Windows Server 2019 and Active Directory
• Experience with software/hardware deployment, patches, operating systems, and basic system backup and restore functions
• Experience with or familiarity with SALT, Ansible, Splunk, Puppet, Solar Winds, and Nessus
• Experience with or knowledge of Red Hat and VMWare
• Solid understanding of advanced security protocols and standards
• Experience with both client and server virtualization environments
• Experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and reimaging hardware
• Solid understanding of information security principles and practices
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to support occasional day or short duration travel
• U.S. Citizenship
• TS/SCI Security Clearance with an appropriate Polygraph
• Preferred:
  Proficiency with SQL Server
• Preferred: SALT and Python scripting experience
• Preferred:
  Experience supporting a software configuration management and development environment
• Preferred:
  Experience working in an Agile Development Environment or on an Agile Team
• Preferred:
  Knowledge of PKI systems using HSMs and NTP for synchronization
• Preferred:
  Knowledge of Power Shell and PowerCLI
• Preferred:
  Experience documenting and providing information for security accreditation and certification

Demonstrates expertise in systems administration, including proficiency with Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, and security management. Capable of optimizing server configurations and managing vulnerabilities in a mission-critical environment.
