Systems Engineer - International

Overview

At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, you will drive innovation and uphold the highest standards of business ethics. You will design, develop, test, and maintain integrated systems and solutions for our customers.

• Prepare plans, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for integration and testing of in‑house developed and COTS/GOTS components, subsystems, and systems.
• Synthesize customer contractual needs into system test solutions that balance technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Develop functional and technical specifications and standards; solve hardware/software interface issues; define input/output parameters.
• Review and evaluate testability requirements, prepare comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems or subsystems.
• Coordinate subsystem and system testing activities with programs and other organizations.
• Analyze test results and prepare evaluation reports that verify and validate system performance.
• Perform integration regression testing to verify/validate fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems.
• Lead technical analysis of system architecture to develop and drive tasking from scope, schedule, and resource allocation perspectives.
• Travel internationally 2–4 times per year to support customer requirements.

• Active US Security Clearance with Polygraph.
• Valid US Passport.
• Experience with network configurations and troubleshooting on Windows, Linux, UNIX, RHEL, and GOTS/COTS operating systems.
• Hardware and software systems troubleshooting, including Linux, analysis capabilities, and Python or Bash scripting.
• Previous experience developing system cyber security requirements and allocating them to hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
• Experience developing System Engineering Plans, Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
• Authoring detailed test plans, procedures, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Quantitative analysis experience in non‑functional system performance areas such as reliability, maintainability, vulnerability, survivability, and producibility.
• Interface definition, design, and change experience throughout the lifecycle.
• Leadership of multiple development tasks and customer engagement.
• Budget allocation for real‑time process and error budgets to systems and subsystems.
• Understanding of stakeholder needs and system operations effectiveness.
• Technical direction for development, engineering, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems.
• Willingness to travel internationally 2–4 times per year.

• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar hardware and software systems.
• Flexibility to adapt to new operational requirements and cost‑constrained environments.
• Strong written, communication, and presentation skills.
• Self‑starter with excellent interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
• Hands‑on cyber security systems engineering and system administration experience for Dev Ops roles.
• CISSP, CEH, CASP, Security+ certifications highly desired.
• Experience with Elastic Search, Data Flow, Docker, and Kubernetes.
