Job Title: Cultivation Technician I

Department: Cultivation

Reports To: Cultivation Site Supervisor

FSLA Status: Hourly. Non‑Exempt

Shift: 6:30am-3pm Sun‑Thurs OR Tues‑Sat

Pay: $17.00/hour Full‑Time with Benefits

Location: Hancock, MD

The Cultivation Technician I provides manual labor to support the operations within the Cultivation department, while abiding by laws, rules, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. The position will primarily support the flower department with day‑to‑day plant maintenance tasks and sanitation responsibilities, and may be flexed to provide support in veg, mom, and propagation as needed.

• Physical, repetitive agricultural work, following directions and taking instructions from supervisors
• Repetitive climbing on a ladder or working on an elevated platform
• Netting and trellising flower plants
• Loading plants and placing emitters
• Tucking and spreading plants as directed
• Pruning and defoliating plants
• Proper use of PPE in accordance with company guidelines
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag excess plant material, leaving the grow room clean once plant maintenance is completed
• Clean, sanitize, and store all grow room tools and equipment after use
• Perform various manual cross‑department job duties as needed
• Secondary but essential job functions
• All other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum age 21 (or 18 in CT, PA, and WV)
• Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening

• Handle organic matter daily and wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection); be able to work in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95°F or greater)
• Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and over a distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
• Work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods; maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and performing repetitive movements and reaching; use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, and pinch frequently to complete tasks
• At times, the entire shift may be spent standing
• Perform repetitive hand, wrist, finger and elbow movements
• Have visual acuity with or without job aids for activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection of small parts/details; maintain clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
• Speak and communicate verbally at conversational levels with co‑workers, vendors, etc. (moderate noise)
