Position: Lab Technologist - Scientific Operations (Overnight Shift)

Sparks, MD Pay Rate: $22.60/hour

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday, 7:00 PM-5:00 AM Work Arrangement:
On-Site Overtime:
Must be available to work overtime as required Safety Shoes:
Required Training Schedule Orientation and training will be held Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM for one week, regardless of the regular overnight work schedule. Candidates must be able to accommodate the daytime training schedule.

Position Overview

The Technologist
- Scientific Ops is responsible for manufacturing and assembling clinical and commercial products while operating production equipment and following established manufacturing procedures. This position performs material preparation, batch processing, in-process testing, and equipment/process validation in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture and assemble clinical and commercial products according to established procedures and specifications.
  • Operate production equipment safely and effectively.
  • Weigh, measure, and verify raw materials to ensure batches contain the correct ingredients and quantities.
  • Assist with in-process testing to ensure batches meet established specifications.
  • Support validation of processes and equipment related to filtration, cleaning, and sterilization.
  • Create and prepare solutions, powders, and liquids used in batch manufacturing.
  • Safely remove and dispose of waste chemicals, solvents, acids, and other regulated materials.
  • Provide training support for new employees, onboarding activities, and newly implemented procedures.
  • Support the lead or supervisor with operational activities as needed.
  • Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Follow established procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Work overtime as required to meet business and production needs.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma required with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a regulated environment.
  • Associate's degree in a scientific discipline may be considered in place of experience.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
  • Ability to work safely with chemicals, solvents, and acids.
  • Ability to work in a regulated manufacturing environment and consistently follow GMP requirements.
