Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this part‑time position is to provide primary health care to middle‑school and high‑school students whose parents are enrolled in the School‑Based Wellness Centers managed by the Dorchester County Health Department.

Grade: 22

Location: MDH Dorchester County Health Department, 627 Race Street, Cambridge, MD 21613

• Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses under the certification requirements for Nurse Practitioner or Nurse‑Midwife.
• Experience: One year as a Nurse Practitioner or Nurse‑Midwife. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Midwife classification or specialty codes in the Nursing field on a year‑for‑year basis.

• Current certificate as a Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Midwife from the Maryland State Board of Nursing (4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215).
• Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license if duties require operation of a motor vehicle.
