Principal Vulnerability Research EngineerJob Description
Act as a Vulnerability Researcher using advanced systems to discover zero‑day vulnerabilities, analyze and design programmatic behaviors, develop, test, and debug software applications, and research data to generate new design ideas for vulnerability techniques. Apply debugging, fuzzing, reverse engineering and other methodologies to uncover security weaknesses.
Required Skills- 9 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or 7 years with a master’s degree
- Solid understanding of software development and programming languages such as C, C++, or Python
- Experience with program analysis, reverse engineering, and debugging tools (e.g., angr, BAP, IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, gdb, Ghidra, windbg)
- Knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of Assembly (x86/x64)
- Clearance requirement: TS/SCI CI Poly Preferred
- Place of Performance: MD, FL, SC, TX, Remote
- Understanding of OS internals on major OS platforms
- Experience with exploit development (e.g., Hack The Box)
- Experience reading or writing assembly code
- Understanding of network protocols and socket programming at the application layer
- Knowledge of exploit mitigations such as DEP and ASLR
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (OSCP, ISOCT, OSWP, OSEP, OSWE, OSED, OSEE, GPEN, GWAPT, GXPN, CISSP) – not required
