Leidos' defense group is seeking a Non‑Intrusive Inspection System (NIIS) Field Service Technician, Journeyman to support the IBD‑SS program in CENTCOM and Horn of Africa areas of operations.

Key Responsibilities- Perform maintenance, training and support for military customers.
- Perform mechanical and electronic maintenance on radiation and back scatter technology systems.
- Install, de‑install, test systems and components, and perform preventive maintenance on NIIS systems.
- Manage day‑to‑day operations of area or other technicians and may supervise.
- Travel OCONUS to other locations as required.
- Perform analyses of system operations, hardware configuration, fault detection, isolation, and correction.
- Conduct routine system maintenance and analysis functions including hardware configurations, adding or removing components.
- Use diagnostic testing tools and read electronic circuit schematics.
- Repair printed circuit boards.
- Sustainment and PMCS maintenance on system and vehicle chassis.
- Perform site surveys to determine system placement.
- Install and de‑install systems and components, train operators and end users.
- Update databases, inform Lead of job status and any issues encountered.
- Track and update work orders, including replacement of parts with serial numbers.
- Travel via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and electronics measuring and test equipment.
- Perform minor maintenance on vehicles and generators such as changing oil and filter.
- Generate and produce data and reports.
- Exhibit professional customer service skills and a positive approach with customers and peers.
- Withstand physical demands of seasonal hot or cold temperatures and operate in austere environment.
- Support up to an 84‑hour extended work week.
- Possess a US passport valid for at least 2 years with at least 4 blank pages for country visas.
- Meet fitness standards for deployment to the SWA of Operations.
- Lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in non‑climate‑controlled environments.
- Other duties as assigned.
- BA/BS plus 5–8 years of relevant experience (12 years in lieu of a degree).
- Radiation Safety Certification required.
- US Secret security clearance required.
- Recent experience supporting Force Protection systems.
- Experience with Radiation and Backscatter systems.
- Experience with PM FPS Systems such as BETSS‑C, Cerberus, Scout, IBD‑K, and RDISS.
- Ability to train operators on NIIS systems.
- Experience utilizing COLTS and operating within the GCSS‑A environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Import/Export (ITAR/EXIM) compliance experience.
- Experience in a rapid paced, time‑sensitive, high‑quality environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively.
$73,450.00 – $ (general guideline only, not guaranteed).
