This is an entry level Software Engineer 1 position. This role is onsite, in Fulton, Maryland. This role may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do:

* You will develop innovative new features for a new real-time situational awareness Command & Control Systems (C2) using Java.
* You will design, architect and code critical capabilities in an active Agile environment.
* You will work in a highly collaborate team environment to design, architect and innovate software solutions.

What You Will Learn:
* You will learn how to develop high quality software to support real-time situational awareness Command & Control Systems (C2) systems.
* You will learn how to support engineering process improvements, audits and peer reviews.
* You will learn how to work within a highly collaborative software team and interface with other engineering disciplines as needed to meet program contract milestones.
* You will learn how to update documentation related to test, verification, and design activities.

Qualifications You Must Have:
* Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained prior to start and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
* The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
* Experience and/or knowledge in programming multithreaded systems.
* Experience in software development using Java or C++.
* Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
