Lead AI Software Developer

• • Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications
• • Collaborate with product owners, architects, engineers, systems engineering, product delivery, and Dev Sec Ops  teams
• • Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives
• • Translate requirements into working software solutions
• • Develop clean, maintainable, and testable code using CI/CD and Dev Sec Ops  practices
• • Contribute to system design discussions and technical decision-making
• • Integrate services with databases, messaging systems, and external APIs
• • Support troubleshooting, performance tuning, and continuous improvement
• • Work with QA, Dev Ops, and platform teams to ensure reliable delivery
• • Implement unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end automated testing
• • Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, debugging, and test creation
• • Build and modernize real-time, safety-critical air traffic systems using traditional systems engineering and AI-augmented software development practices

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience building and supporting microservices-based systems
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Java, Python, or C++, on a Linux-based system
• Ability to effectively leverage AI-assisted engineering tools
• Experience or exposure to AI/ML-enabled systems, automation, or intelligent platforms
• Ability to analyze large, complex software systems with many interacting components
• Ability to analyze software interfaces and data flows in complex distributed systems
• Experience enhancing and maintaining existing software systems while preserving operational stability
• Ability to abstract complex implementation details into higher-level architectural concepts and communicate them effectively
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Understanding of APIs and distributed system concepts
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
• U.S. citizenship required
• Successful completion of background investigations as required by the government customer
• Preferred: experience with large-scale distributed systems; safety-critical or high-availability software; reverse-engineering software designs; legacy systems; large codebases;
  Git and CI/CD; SAFe; relational and/or No
  
  SQL databases;
  Kafka or other event-streaming technologies; AWS, Azure, or GCP;
  Docker and Kubernetes;
  Dev Sec Ops ; test automation frameworks and CI/CD test-suite integration

Demonstrates expertise in designing and developing microservices-based applications, leveraging modern programming languages and AI-assisted engineering tools. Proficient in Agile methodologies and capable of ensuring reliable software delivery through CI/CD practices and automated testing.
