Drayage Dispatch Manager

Description

We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher with a strong background in the drayage industry
. This role focuses on the daily driver dispatch and container movement. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing complex transportation operations to ensure the timely and efficient movement of import/export containers. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, the capacity to multitask, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

• Schedule appointments with marine terminals for container pickups
• Coordinate delivery appointments and follow-ups with customers
• Assign deliveries to drivers based on availability and operational priorities
• Monitor and track drivers in real time to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
• Provide exceptional customer service via phone and email to clients and internal operations teams
• Track equipment and update statuses within the company’s custom portal
• Track and trace container shipments through terminal portals
• Perform general office duties and other tasks as assigned

Salary: 60k - 70k

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 years of dispatch experience within the drayage and logistics transportation industry
• Strong understanding of port operations, terminal procedures, and transportation logistics
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work extended hours, including approximately 50 hours per week, as needed
