Position Description
Ryder is hiring Warehouse Associates in Elkridge, Maryland — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.
Pay & Schedule- Hourly Pay $20.00 per hour
- Overtime Pay $30.00 per hour
- Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm or until finished; overtime as required
- Products being handled:
Furniture, Home Decor, Heavy Touch Items - Equipment used:
Electric pallet jack, cherry picker, RF scanner

- High‑school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of related warehouse experience required
- One year or more related warehouse experience preferred
- Operate powered industrial truck(s) and maintain (e.g., battery change, recognize common mechanical issues)
- May be required to operate manual or automated equipment (e.g., packaging line)
- Powered industrial truck certification
- Ability to read, perform basic mathematics in English for safety, work instructions, policies, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Ability to input data into the WMS computer system(s) in use
- Work overtime as assigned
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Flexibility and self‑driven to excel in a fast‑paced environment
- Capable of multi‑tasking, highly organized with excellent time‑management skills
- Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
- Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials
- Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure accurate scanning; train dock employees on new procedures; secure facility at shift end; investigate and resolve scanning issues and housekeeping; perform picking and packing duties; check for product or container damage
- Perform the assigned tasks per location policies and procedures, including material handling within associated logical transactions
- Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required
- Participate in workgroup and other team activities for continuous improvement
- Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area
- Perform other duties as assigned
