Overview

Link3 Recruitment is working in partnership with local nurseries and childcare providers in Mansfield who are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Nursery Assistants to support their After School Clubs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring, energetic, and creative individual who enjoys working with children in a fun, relaxed environment outside of the school day. You will help provide a safe, engaging, and supportive setting for children to unwind, socialise, and take part in structured and free-play activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the care and supervision of children aged 4-11 years in an after school setting
  • Assist with planning and delivering fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities
  • Help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children
  • Encourage positive behaviour and social development
  • Support children with snacks, homework activities, and transitions
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
  • Follow safeguarding procedures, health and safety policies, and setting guidelines
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) - evidence may be required
  • Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, or childcare setting (preferred)
  • A basic understanding of child development and safeguarding principles
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their wellbeing
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude

  • Right to Work:
    All candidates will be required to demonstrate a valid Right to Work in the UK as part of our safeguarding and compliance checks.
  • DBS:
    All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) prior to starting work, if not already in possession of one registered on the Update Service. The cost of a DBS will be covered by the applicant.
