Residential Childcare Worker

We are looking for a caring, resilient and motivated individual to support young people in a safe and nurturing residential setting.

You will provide tailored care that meets young people’s physical, emotional, social, health and educational needs. The role involves building positive, trusting relationships; supporting daily living skills and education; promoting wellbeing and safety; participating in activities; and maintaining a secure, homely environment.

You will work closely with colleagues and external professionals, maintain accurate records, follow relevant legislation and best practice guidance, and contribute to risk assessments and care planning. Sleep-in duties, ongoing training and flexible working are required.

Essential Requirements:

* Experience working with young people

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Ability to manage challenging situations calmly

* Commitment to professional development (including working towards relevant social care qualifications)

* Full manual driving licence
