Skilled Home Care Registered Nurse
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Day shift, Monday through Friday, with potential for varying hours based on Home Care office needs. Alternating weekend shifts may be required.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Home Care Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in the home-setting. The ideal candidate will have experience with OASIS documentation, IV skills, wound care, and managing high-risk diagnoses such as heart failure, COPD, myocardial infarction, pneumonia, and stroke.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cardiopulmonary assessments and perform basic wound care.
- Administer IV medications and manage PICC line or Midline care.
- Perform wound vac dressing changes and manage Pleurx/Aseptdrain care.
- Change and care for Foley catheters, perform staple/suture removal, and use a glucometer.
- Accurately document all patient care activities using designated systems.
- Deliver patient education and support during home health visits.
- 1 year of skilled home care experience is required; private duty nursing experience is not sufficient.
- Must have valid Florida RN license or a compact license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BCLS) is required.
- Current COVID and flu vaccinations are mandatory; exemptions must be documented.
- Recent patient care experience (within the last 3 months) is required.
