Diesel Mechanic

* We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of diesel-powered equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and proficiency with hand and power tools.

* Responsibilities
* * Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related equipment

* Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools

* Perform fabrication, welding, soldering, and assembly tasks as needed for repairs or modifications

* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete repair tasks efficiently

* Repair and maintain heavy machinery including excavators, forklifts, and other industrial equipment

* Read and interpret technical schematics to troubleshoot complex systems

* Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies

* Assist with equipment upgrades or modifications to improve performance or safety standards

* Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used

* Experience
* * Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within heavy machinery maintenance

* Strong background in fabrication, welding, soldering, electrical systems, and schematics interpretation

* Mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and industrial equipment

* Experience working with excavators, forklifts, or similar heavy machinery is highly desirable

* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for repair purposes

* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a demanding environment

* Excellent customer service skills when liaising with clients or internal teams regarding repairs or maintenance needs
