Main Purpose of Job:
The joiner‑fitter will carry out high‑quality joinery and fitting work as part of bespoke vehicle conversions, constructing, installing, and finishing interior components to precise specifications, ensuring each vehicle meets safety standards, functional requirements and a premium level of craftsmanship. The role supports the full conversion process from initial build to final fit‑out, contributing to efficient workflow and exceptional end‑results for customers.

- Fabrication:
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials (plywood, hardwood, composite panels, lightweight vehicle‑grade materials) to construct bespoke units such as cabinets, storage systems, seating structures and bed frames. - Installation:
Fit furniture, fixtures, shelving and panelling; install hardware components including hinges, latches, rails and trims. - Vehicle Prep:
Carry out ply lining, window cutting/fitting and installation of insulation, vapour barriers, flooring and wall/ceiling linings. - Technical Accuracy:
Work strictly from technical drawings, templates and build instructions to ensure consistency and precision; perform trial‑fittings to confirm correct alignment and function before final installation. - Quality Assurance:
Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets safety standards and customer expectations. - Vehicle Care:
Safeguard all vehicles during the work process to prevent damage; drive and park vehicles responsibly within the site as required. - Workflow:
Collaborate with electricians, fabricators, and Team Leaders to ensure efficiently coordinated build stages; liaise with management regarding progress or potential delays. - Administration:
Accurately record hours, material usage and work completed; report material shortages or design issues immediately. - Health & Safety:
Maintain a clean, organised workspace and practice good housekeeping; operate all hand tools, power tools and machinery safely; strictly adhere to all Health and Safety legislation and company policies to ensure the safety of self, colleagues and visitors.
- Proven experience in joinery, carpentry or interior fitting (vehicle‑based experience is an advantage but not essential).
- Confident and safe use of a wide range of hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery.
- Understanding of materials used in vehicle interiors such as plywood, lightweight composites and insulation.
- Experience with sanding, sealing, edge‑banding and trimming for a high‑end finish.
- A full driving licence is mandatory for this role.

Good time‑management skills with the ability to meet production schedules and deadlines. - Able to meet the physical demands of the role, including manual handling, working in confined spaces (inside vehicles) and performing hands‑on tasks.
- Proven experience in joinery, carpentry or interior fitting (vehicle‑based experience is an advantage but not essential).
- Confident and safe use of a wide range of hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery.
- Understanding of materials used in vehicle interiors such as plywood, lightweight composites and insulation.
- Experience with sanding, sealing, edge‑banding and trimming for a high‑end finish.
- A full driving licence is mandatory for this role.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Good standard of education including GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
