Assistant Business Office Manager

Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is looking to add an Assistant Business Office Manager to its team. In this role, you'll support the facility's financial operations, resident accounts, and business office functions while helping ensure accuracy, compliance, and excellent service for residents and families. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily census records, payer information, authorizations, and resident financial documentation
  • Meet with residents and families to review financial information, complete required paperwork, and assist with Medicaid-related processes
  • Manage resident trust accounts, deposits, spending accounts, reconciliations, statements, and related financial records
  • Process Representative Payee applications, Social Security recertifications, pension updates, and resident account changes
  • Complete general office duties including filing, scanning, mail distribution, admission agreements, and resident correspondence
  • Prepare and monitor copayment statements, collections, and payment tracking
  • Complete and review Medicaid-related documents and reports
  • Maintain HIPAA, resident rights, infection control, and compliance standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum education requirement:
    High School Diploma;
    Associate's Degree preferred
  • Minimum experience requirement: 2 years of experience working in a related field
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in financial records
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of resident accounts, Medicaid processes, and business office operations preferred
