Shipping And Receiving Coordinator
Under the direction of the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, oversees the shipping, receiving, routing and verification of all materials and supplies. Maintains, updates and verifies accuracy of inventory for military and subcontracting contracts. Ensures that paperwork processing and forwarding of documentation is done in a timely manner. Maintains a safe and orderly work environment.
Specific duties include:
Required knowledge, skills and abilities include:
Ability to learn and use computer programs related to shipping and receiving, including but not limited to the fax machine, copier, freight elevator and material handling equipment; strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate with others both within and outside of the organization; good organizational skills and the ability to fulfill assigned responsibilities while adhering to time-sensitive deadlines;
must be detail-oriented, including the ability to accurately count;
Ability to maintain a variety of files and records in an orderly and organized manner. Knowledge of or ability to learn TRC policies relative to purchasing and receiving; sound ethical judgment with regards to control of TRC property. Willingness and ability to accept a flexible work environment, including working additional and/or non-traditional hours as needed or assigned. Physical condition or reasonable accommodation(s) commensurate with demands of job, including the ability to lift.
Minimum qualifications:
High school diploma or GED plus two (2) years of shipping/receiving or clerical experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Valid NYS driver's license with driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier is required.
