This full-time contract position is designed for dedicated educators who are passionate about making a difference for students with unique learning needs. With 37.5 hours per week scheduled Monday through Friday, you will have the chance to facilitate meaningful learning experiences and contribute to student growth and success.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Special Education Teaching certification (State-issued, appropriate for junior high students)
  • Previous experience working within a special education setting, preferably at the junior-high level
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students through both push-in and pull-out service models
  • Adapt instructional strategies and materials to meet the diverse academic, behavioral, and social needs of each student
  • Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals in math, language arts, and other relevant subjects
  • Engage in 42 minutes of daily mentoring focusing on math and language arts skills at the close of each day
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster inclusive classroom environments and ensure consistent implementation of accommodations
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to student evaluations, and maintain accurate records in compliance with all state and federal guidelines
