Administration / Administrative Assistant/Office Manager - Part Time

Overview

The Dunn Area Tourism Authority is looking for a Part‑time Administrative Assistant/Office Manager. The role is part of the team, providing support to ensure smooth operations and exceptional visitor experiences. The position runs from 9 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday, with flexible hours.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, answering phones, mail and email.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as expense reporting, record keeping, processing payments, invoices and billing (Quick Books experience is a plus).
  • Coordinate calendar meetings, travel bookings and oversee incoming correspondence and requests.
  • Research, plan and create reports, proposals and documents for meetings.
  • Take meeting minutes, summarize discussions for the Director and distribute to board members.
  • Greet and assist visitors, providing information about local attractions, events and services.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance visitor engagement and satisfaction.
  • Support marketing efforts by distributing promotional materials and updating social media platforms.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent education/experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Previous administrative experience is a plus.
  • Passion for tourism and local culture is highly desirable.
  • Valid NC Driver's License.
