American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring a NC or compact RN license and at least 2 years of MS/Tele experience.

• MS/Tele unit on the 4th floor of a short-term acute care hospital
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required between the MS/Tele unit and sister campus as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active NC or compact RN license currently in hand, pending licenses not accepted
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and PICC line management
• Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, tracheostomy, and oxygen administration
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry remote monitoring
• Experience with wound care, isolation precautions/PPE, and total joint replacement care preferred
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the main campus to be eligible for the position
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must be gone for 1 year before returning as a traveler if previously employed at the facility
• Limited to 2 contract extensions for day shift or 3 for night shift, followed by a required 6-month break before reapplying as a traveler
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 4 days, with only 1 holiday approved for time off, subject to manager discretion
• Scrub color requirement: royal blue and white
• Facility is a short-term acute care hospital environment
